Prof Jatin Shah ​
Professor Jatin P. Shah graduated from the Medical College of MS University in Baroda, India, and received his training in Surgical Oncology and Head & Neck Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is a Professor of Surgery, at the Weil Medical College of Cornell University, and Chief of the Head and Neck Service, Leader of the Head and Neck Disease Management Team, and holds The Elliott W. Strong Chair in Head and Neck Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Dr Luc Morris
Luc is an Attending Surgeon and Professor of Surgery on the Head and Neck Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He provides surgical oncologic care for patients with squamous cell, thyroid, salivary and skin cancers, and also participates in surgical critical care and airway stenosis teams as a member of the Critical Care Medicine Service. Luc heads the Laboratory of Experimental Cancer Immunogenomics, a translational cancer research group, and is Program Director of the MSK Clinical Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery, the largest and oldest training program of its kind in North America.

Prof Sandro Porceddu
Dr Sandro Porceddu is a radiation oncologist and Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia. He holds professorial appointments with the University of Melbourne and University of Queensland. His clinical and research interests are in the fields of head and neck cancer and dermato-oncology and has published extensively in these areas. He is the former President of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) and the Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG). Professor Porceddu currently serves on the IFHNOS executive council and will chair the IFHNOS 8th World Congress in Brisbane, Australia in 2026.

Dr Pankaj Chaturvedi
Professor Pankaj Chaturvedi is Head Neck Cancer Surgeon and Director at ACTREC Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. He has been invited as visiting faculty in 44 institutions in 32 countries. He is the editor of the Textbook of Head and Neck Surgery. He is the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Head and Neck surgery. He has authored more than 200 papers in international peer reviewed journals. He is the Principal investigator of several pivotal randomized clinical trials. His main area of interest is prevention and early detection of oral cancer. He is the recipient of the prestigious NIH R01 grant for research on tobacco carcinogenesis. Director, International Federation of Head Neck Oncologists; Global Coordinator, World Head Neck Cancer Day; Councillor, International Academy of Oral Oncology; Chairman, Oral Cancer Foundation, Indian Dental Association; Founder, Head Neck cooperative oncology group; Founder, Indian Society of Thyroid Surgeons; Founder, Oral Cancer Task Force; Member, International Advisory Board, American Head Neck Societies, Secretary, Action Council Against Tobacco – India. He has received several awards - Excellence in Cancer Care Award, 2017; Nana Palkar Smruti Award for Excellence in Patient Care, 2017; Health Award for Excellence in Oncology, 2016; Iconic Leadership Award, World CSR Day, 2016; Sushruta Award, 2015; BMJ Award for Health Advocacy, 2014; Judy Wilkenfield Award, Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, 2013; Global Cancer Ambassador, American Cancer Society, 2011; WHO Director General Award for leadership in tobacco control, 2010; Maxwell Robert Byers Award, American Head and Neck society, 2010; Outstanding young Indian Award, 2008.
Dr Chaturvedi is the founder of Maharashtra Cancer Warriors that is offering voluntary oncology services in 24 district hospitals of Maharashtra. He is the coordinator of the oncology services on Lifeline express, world’s first cancer hospital on train. He conceptualized, established and launched India’s first Online Oncology Tutorial that is already being employed by several state governments in India. Dr Chaturvedi has tremendous interest in Public Health issues especially related to Tobacco, areca nut and alcohol control. He was invited as a speaker in the United Nation’s Summit on Non-Communicable Diseases, 2011 in New York.

Dr Ian Ganly
Prof Ian Ganly, BSc, MD, MSc, PhD, FRCS (Edin), FRCS (Glas), FRCS-ORL (Edin) received his training in Otolaryngology at the University of Glasgow teaching hospitals in Scotland, UK and in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer. He was an attending head and neck surgeon at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK from 2005-2008 before moving to his present position as Attending Head and Neck surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2008. He is senior Attending surgeon at MSKCC and is Professor of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Weill College, Cornell University, New York. He received his PhD in molecular oncology in 1999 and his clinical research MD degree in 2001 from the University of Glasgow. In 2017 he obtained his Masters degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from Columbia University, New York. He has expertise in all aspects of multidisciplinary care of cancer of the head and neck. He also has an interest in translational research and collaborates with scientists at MSKCC on oncogenomics of head and neck cancer pathogenesis. His clinical research interests are in clinical outcomes research and the development of nomograms to predict outcomes in individual patients with head and neck cancer. He has mentored over 50 clinical research fellows and 4 PhD students. He has published more than 340 peer reviewed scientific articles, has an H index of 77 and written several book chapters in the field of head and neck cancer.

Dr Matthew Hanasono
Dr. Matthew Hanasono is a Professor and Deputy Chair in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University and a residency in Plastic Surgery at Cornell University, followed by a fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He had the honor being the 2015 American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery Godina Traveling Fellow in recognition of his contributions to reconstructive microsurgery. He has also served as a Plastic Surgery Foundation Visiting Professor, and American Society for Maxillofacial Surgery Visiting Professor.

Dr Babak Givi
Babak Givi is a head and neck surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and the chair of the Education Division of American Head & Neck Society. He received his medical degree from Tehran University and a masters degree in medical education from University of Illinois, Chicago. He completed his general surgery residency at OHSU in Portland, Oregon and fellowships in head and neck surgery and reconstruction at Sloan Kettering, OHSU, and the University of Toronto.
His clinical interests are in all aspect of head and neck surgery with a particular interest in cutaneous and salivary malignancies.

Dr Daniel Price
Dr. Daniel Price is a Head and Neck Surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is the director of the Multidisciplinary Oral Cavity Cancer and Reconstruction Clinic, and has a special expertise and interest in maxillo-mandibular reconstruction, 3-D virtual surgical planning and modeling and has published on both the operative, post-operative, and long term benefits of these approaches . He also manages a busy trans-oral robotic surgery and salivary neoplasm practice. He currently serves as the President of the Staff of Mayo Clinic and Clinical Practice Chair for ENT, and is the former Program Director for the Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program.

Prof Renata Ferrarotto
Dr. Ferrarotto is a Professor and Director of Head and Neck Oncology Clinical Research of Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical. In this role, she dedicates time to patient care as well as to clinical and translational research. Her work focuses on clinical development of new personalized cancer therapies for patients with head and neck malignancies, with a particular interest in salivary gland cancers and other rarer tumor subtypes. She has conducted multiple investigator-initiated trials in the neoadjuvant and metastatic settings. Dr. Ferrarotto was a recipient of the ASCO Career Development Award in 2016, the Khalifa grant in 2016, a Stiefel grant in 2018, an Institutional Research Grant in 2020, three pilot grants from the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation in 2000, 2021, and 2022, a DOD Impact Award in 2021, an R03 grant in 2022, and an R01 grant in 2024.

Dr Barbara Wollenberg
Barbara Wollenberg is specialized in otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery currently appointed as Chair at the Technical University in Munich. Clinically, Dr. Wollenberg covers a broad spectrum of surgical skills and interests ranging from reconstructive surgery to surgery of the central and lateral skull base via endoscopic and microscopic techniques. Already since her time in medical school, Dr. Wollenberg is highly interested in immunology. The main focus lies on the interaction of cancer cells with the human immune system, in particular the mechanisms of cancer cells hijacking healthy immune cells for their own expansion and immunotherapeutic drug development. Dr. Wollenberg is a passionate tutor of her residents and has already coached multiple MDs and PhDs.

Prof Vincent Vander Poorten

Head and neck oncology and surgery, with a specific focus on salivary gland and thyroid surgery, transoral laser microendoscopic and robotic surgery, endoscopic and external approaches to the anterior skull base.

Dr. Rajendra Toprani
Dr. Rajendra Toprani M.S., M.Ch. (Surgical Oncology) is a Senior Consultant - Head & Neck Surgical Oncologist, Director of Department of Surgical Oncology and Director at HCG AASTHA Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad.
His areas of interest are Oral & Laryngeal Cancers, Thyroid and Parotid Tumors. He has expertise in voice preserving Laryngectomies & Trans Oral Endoscopic Laser Surgery (TOLS). He is also a trained Robotic Surgeon for Trans Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS).
He was the President of Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO) for 2021-22 and currently President of Indian Society of Oncology (ISO). He was the organizing secretary of IFHNOS World Tour 2012 International Conference at Ahmedabad & the IFHNOS Head & Neck Cancer summit at Chennai in 2023.
